Week 3 : Feb 11th, Special General Meeting - 5.30pm Freyberg High School

Focus is on Discussing and ratifying proposed changes to the MMTA Constitution

- a major proposed change is to move away from having our accounts audited and instead they will be reviewed under the guidelines set down for Incorporated Societies.


Week 7: March 12th PROPOSED workshop POSTPONED

Now being run in Term 2 May 14th at the (Primary) Maths Lead teacher workshop. Those secondary schools involved with the Y8/9 Transition seminars are welcome to attend

Cathie Johnson, Education Adviser offering support in collation and analysis of the data gathered using NZCER's assessment tools (PAT Maths) and surveys.

Cathy works with primary, intermediate and secondary schools and has had a lot of conversations/workshops/webinars around the new and improved ways to use the PAT:Mathematics data: the scale as a progression of learning and to indicate progress, plus easy ways to pinpoint useful information for transition from primary to intermediate to secondary, curriculum alignment, gender, ethnicity and specific strand information.

Massey University are once again holding their Quiz for Year 12 students: M3S Run by Anne and Cami who are both ex secondary teachers this is a great chance for Year 12s to have some fun solving problems.

Neil Marshall who is one of the NZQA moderators is taking a seminar on moderation in Palmerston North on 12 August
